Unfortunately Steve has been unable to contribute this morning due to personal reasons and will be back next week.
As we like to always provide you with content we thought we’d post today’s UKRN Early Bird’s selection which was sent last night.
Well I open tonight’s email with another rant about what can only be described as one of the most poorly timed rides of the year on our selection for today. Mr Probert started out well and saved energy by sitting off the pace. He then quiet simply delivered his mount about 1 furlong too late. I appreciate I don’t ride horses and difficulty in running can lead to poor judgement but today was fairly clear cut in my opinion. We did, on the plus side, smash the market which as long as we keep that up we will see our long term profits in the bank.
Anyway enough of the doom and gloom and let’s hope for a good weekend as tomorrow we head off to Beverley for a big handicap and the type of race I like to get my teeth stuck into. Our trainer James Turner albeit from a slightly small sample size comes here with a massive 55% strike rate for a level stakes profit of £13.13p.
He saddles just the one runner tomorrow and only travels an hour to the track. I know a lot of people look at the runners a trainer has over massive distances but in my view the less distance a horse travels the less stressed it becomes from being in a confined spot with its arse on full view to everyone on the M1!
Bondi Beach Boy ran respectably when last seen at Wetherby over the flat and did well to come third by less than a length. He can improve on that run and the drop back to the minimum distance is a positive. George Chaloner takes the helm who’s helped steer him to victory in similarly big fields and he’s on the same mark as last time which makes him look well treated in this race. It is a big field so I will ere on the side of caution and go each way about him.
Selection: Bondi Beach Boy in the 3.00 Beverley at 16/1 Bet365 for an each way bet.

Hi Eddie,
I don’t understand when you say that we smashed the market, personally i work on pounds and pence and up to now there is none coming back in for me. I understand the article on when we are on a loosing streak that we have to take it on the chin and the winning selections will come
Best wishes James
I have Singeur beating Bondi Beach Boy slighthly. They need to beat Avon Breeze and Flash City, rest of the field are further back.
