Barry’s Flat Rating Method

If you are a regular reader then it is unlikely you missed the article I published, Barry’s National Hunt Rating Method, where Barry very kindly shared us his approach to rating these races.

If for some reason you haven’t had a chance to read it then  I strongly suggest that you head over there now and take a look, not only because it is excellent but also because you will need to have  read it in order to make sense of this post.

This post is announcing the publishing of Barry’s Flat Rating method. It is a short post today because the spreadsheet works in exactly the same way as before but some of the values have changed.

The race types are now relevant to flat racing and the distances have also changed, so you must take into account these changes when entering the information.

You can download the spreadsheet here.
