2010 Breeders Cup Juvenile Turf

Guest post written by Darren Hudson-Wood

Race Time: 17.50, Race Surface Turf, Race Distance 1 Mile

Selection:- Master Of Hounds 10/3 Win

The selection was a fine third in the Racing Post trophy and that form would be the best on offer here, if he can translate that performance to this track will be very hard to beat.

2010 Breeders Cup Sprint

Race Time: 18.30, Race Surface: Dirt, Race Distance: 6 Furlongs

Selection:- Smiling Tiger 7/1 e/w

No easy race to be confident about, but will take a chance with Smiling Tiger who is a progressive sprinter, one negative is that its his first try on dirt today, but being by Hold That Tiger he should handle it and i’m hopeful of a good run.

2010 Breeders Cup Turf Sprint

Race Time: 19.15, Race Surface: Turf, Race Distance: 5 Furlongs

Selection:- Central City 12/1 e/w

A very competitive race, but i’m going to take a chance on Central City who has a lot of natural speed and is well drawn in stall 2 to break and try make all, and I would be hopeful he can run well and sneak a place.

2010 Breeders Cup Juvenile

Race Time: 19.55, Race Surface: Dirt,  Race Distance: 1 Mile 110 Yards

Selection:- Uncle Mo 2/1 Win

The selection is very highly thought of by trainer Todd Pletcher and understandably so, he won his debut by a distance and then went on to win the grade 1 champagne stakes, those two performances were very impressive and he should be very hard to beat.
2010 Breeders Cup Mile

Race Time: 20.40, Race Surface: Turf, Race Distance: 1 Mile

Selection:- Delegator 16/1 e/w

I looked at this card a week or so ago and decided that I was going to oppose Goldikova with Paco Boy, but have since heard good things about Delegator (despite recent foot bruise) so at the prices its makes a bit of sense to go with Delegator, though Paco Boy is pretty much nailed on for a place.

Delegator comes here fresh, will love the track and the faster the ground the better for him, so all is set for a big run.

2010 Breeders Cup Dirt Mile

Race Time: 21.20, Race Surface: Dirt, Race Distance 1 Mile

Selection:- Gayego 6/1 e/w

The selection won readily last time out over a mile and the switch to this distance looks an inspired move by Godolphin as they had tried to make a sprinter of him, he handles dirt, gets the mile so should be bang there at the finish.

2010 Breeders Cup Turf

Race Time: 22.00, Race Surface: Turf, Race Distance 1 Mile 4 Furlongs

Selection:- Workforce 6/4 Win

The stable have won the last 2 running’s of this race with Conduit and Workforce comes into this years renewal with the race at his mercy and should take all the beating.

2010 Breeders Cup Classic

Race Time: 22.45, Race Surface: Dirt, Race Distance: 1 Mile 2 Furlongs

Selection:- Zenyatta 7/4 Win

I backed her for this race last year at much bigger odds, but how can you oppose a mare of this nature, win, lose or draw she is a horse of a life time and it would be fitting if she could bow out with a perfect record of 20 races, 20 wins and I will be cheering her home.
