But I know this isn’t true.
Well, it wasn’t when I went!
And according to TripAdvisor, it’s better than anything Jamie Oliver and Gordon Ramsay can rustle up.
Yes, the restaurant at HMP Brixton, the notorious south London jail, has been rated higher than both of those.
Specifically, at its restaurant The Clink, which is open to the paying public.
Fair enough, you have to eat with plastic knives and forks and there are bars on the windows.
And there’s no wine or beer on offer, as alcohol is banned anywhere in the prison.
However, the food, prepared and served by prisoners, is incredible.
It came in at the number three restaurant in the whole of London.
Wow!
