Glorious Goodwood Experiment – Day 3

Welcome to the third day of the Race Advisor’s Glorious Goodwood experiment. We have picked the winner for the major race on both days of Goodwood so far and let’s hope that it continues today with a much bigger race as the main race of the day. All you need to do is select the horses below that you think have a chance at winning the 3:15 Artemis Goodwood Cup race today. This poll will automatically close at 3:15. If you would like to spare a couple of minutes to share your thoughts as well then please post a comment, it is always good to hear why you chose your selections.

Let the experiment continue!

  1. He’s a five year old is trained by a man in form and was second last time out in the Ascot Gold Cup, the only horse to even remotely make a race of it with Fame And Glory.

  2. He,s the horse in form plus jockey riding out of his skin in S De Sousa must be in with a squeak.

  3. Chiberta King – Has won at distance and class and can cope with extra weight. I like this test – but it does seem like it is always going to put the Fav at the top, we shall have to see if any non favs that go on to win get the top vote other wise I am not sure how useful this will be.

  4. The favourite coming out on top is not unexpected but this does confirm that the favourite is supposed to be favourite. However what I would suggest you also take a look at are the percentages awarded to each runner to see if the odds are offering value. The principle is that of a free market except that ours has much more experienced people in it than most which will hopefully make it a more accurate assessment.

  5. I have gone with Fox Hunt should get another decent run he has had a good season harder race to chose from after the first 2 days also would’nt be surprised if Aaim to Prosper ran well is finally showing some off his old form

  6. Manighar for me on the nose down in trip and down in class and there hopefully should be enough juice in the ground
