I have noticed that over the last six to twelve months the quantity of betting systems that have been released seem to be getting lower and lower. It got me thinking about the reasons why.
The most obvious reason is that the groups that published betting system after betting system on Clickbank are no longer making any money from selling them and so no longer bother to release them very often. That is just a theory, but it is certainly a plausible reason as to the slow down in launches.
I have just looked into my archive of betting systems that I have obtained over the last ten years and the number comes to… 1,110!
That’s a fair few. In fact it is more than that because in my archive I have some sub-directories so I estimate it is probably nearer to 1,500.
The first thought that pops into your head is probably that almost none of them work. Well, that is probably true. But it isn’t the first thought that pops into my head.
The first thought that pops into my head is that some of these systems were released five or ten years ago, possible more, and that could give me an edge.
Like everything else betting has trends. Punters, most subconsciously, follow these trends. A number of years ago everything was about the draw and everybody began using it in their analysis, systems were released about it and ultimately it stopped working effectively as a means of making a profit. Quite simply the market adjusted because… everybody was using it!
But nearly a year later all the fuss about it had been forgotten and the majority of the betting public had moved on to the new trend or back to what they were doing before.
Does is it work now? Not in the same way it used to, but you can now find an edge in draws again under the right conditions.
I bet that if you look into the old files on your computers you are going to find a load of old betting systems that you haven’t looked at in years. What if I told you that these old betting systems, that didn’t work when you got them, could make you a profit now!
Of course, it’s not as simple as just opening them up and using them as is, it will require a bit of effort on your part in order to make them work. But, what you have is an archive of concepts and ideas and with what I am about to share, you can bring them to life.
The first stage of dusting them off is to organise them. We want to put them into race type categories. Some will cross over multiple categories. That’s fine, we just need to know where we need to look for the race type we are interested in.
The next stage is going to take a bit of work. There’s no getting around it unfortunately. You want to choose a race type you are most interested in. Open each system that is relevant to this race type and read through the information. Make a note of any rules that MAKE COMMON SENSE. That’s it for now. Just write down the system, page number the rule is on and the rule that makes common sense. If there is no explanation for the rule and you can’t see a good reason why it is there then just ignore it.
When you’ve finished doing this you are going to have a few pages of notes. These notes are the start of your own personal blueprint to this race type.
In fact, you can take these notes and use them as the basis of your form reading for these type of races! You can leave it at that if you like.
But if you want to take it further. You now need to start categorising the notes into Race Condition rules and Horse Condition rules. This time make a little note (star or number) next to each rule indicating how important you think this rule is.
You don’t need to go off and perform statistical analysis or anything complicated. Just go with what you feel is right.
In your hands you now have the basic building blocks to build your own system, made up of rules that make sense. I will be honest with you, it is going to be easier to use these rules as a basis for form reading because that will allow some of your own assessment in them. However, if you start with the top 2-4 rules and monitor the selections you will find that building your own betting system from them is surprisingly easy.
As always, it is very important that you keep detailed records of what you’re doing so that you can adjust your form reading or system as necessary.
I don’t agree with your view on the amount of betting systems released over the last 6 to 12 months, if anything I think it has increased judging by the amount of recommendations in my inbox.
Personally I would never pay for someone elses opinion so perhaps this comment is irrelevant!
It may be that I am no longer on as many of the mailing lists as I used to be. The comment is never irrelevant, and having your own opinion is the best way!
There are less systems being brought to market at the moment but what is significant is the number of affiliates all selling the system – maybe 10 or 15 all trying to get a piece of the action which makes it seem that there are a lot of systems.
