A Review Of The Reviewers

Today I would like to get your opinions. There are many betting system sellers and there are also many websites who test these systems.

It is of course important to have people testing and reviewing the systems but who they are and is their opinion worth listening to? As far as I know there has never been a review of the reviewers and I believe that this is as important as testing the systems themselves. Today I would like to suggest that as a community we perform this review.

Where are the websites that review betting systems? Here is a list of the ones that I know of:

The Betting School

The Betting School provide a monthly report that is delivered to your door. This is much more than reviews of betting systems as they create systems, discuss possible strategies, build betting bots and show you how to assess races in ways that you may not have thought of. The Betting School is one of the few sites in this list that I have enough experience of to make a comment. I have been writing for the report for a number of years now and Darren, the editor, has always proven himself to be a genuine and honest person who isnā€™t worried to say if something doesnā€™t work after full testing. The report each month is packed full of useful and honest information.

Betting System Truths

This website is run by James Fitzmaurice and seems to have a large amount of system testing going on at any time. It seems that the tests run for 84 days with the daily results uploaded on to the website. Once they have finished testing a system they give it a mark out of 5. There is also a site seal pact that shows you whether a site has been completely open with the publishing of their results.

GeezGeez

GeezGeez is run by Matt Bisogno. Matt reviews betting systems once they have been launched. There are a lot of comments from readers which is a good thing and he seems to have a very strong following.

Lay The Odds

Lay The Odds provides horse racing articles as well as reviews. I havenā€™t really had anything to do with them or had much of a time to browse through the site but the main focus seems to be system testing.

Betting System Reviews

This review website has been around for a little while and again they focus on testing betting systems. The layout seems to be a lot nicer than most of the review sites and they categorise the systems into 5 star categories and ā€˜Under Reviewā€™. There donā€™t seem to be updates during the testing, just the final results.

Other system testing sites that I havenā€™t heard of before but found by doing a google search are:

What Happens Next?

You know that I donā€™t use other peopleā€™s betting systems and so I donā€™t have much reason to visit these websites with any form of regularity. In order to be able to determine which of these websites are the best reviewers of systems we need to get your opinion. Below there is a poll (you may select more than one site)Ā that will allow you to vote for the websites that you think are the most honest and best reviewers in the business, please make your selections.

[poll id=”5″]

Please also post your comments below, I shall revisit this topic in a few weeks and after taking the poll Ā and comments into consideration shall write-up on the sites that you think are the best and worst for system testing. In order to make this as fair as possible we need as many people to post comments and vote so please forward this page to anyone who may be interested in contributing towards reviewing the reviewers.

If there are any sites that I havenā€™t listed and you know of then get in touch and I shall add them to the list. I am looking forward to hearing your views.

  1. Check out UKBT, most of the sites you have listed have affiliations to the systems they review. Can they really be totally unbiased?

  2. Hi Michael,

Very insightful comments by you from the articles.

One thing which may be useful is to highlight the races which are good for backers, and ‘ highlight’those races for backers to avoid which in effect are excellent for Layers.

It’s an important part of racing which I feel is overlooked by many.

    Just a thought or two.

    Many thanks

    Alan

    1. Hi Alan,

Thank you very much. That is a great idea for a post I shall pull up some data and base it on past stats šŸ™‚ It is on the list to do now.

  3. Hi Michael,
Go to nag-nag-nag.co.uk, this did belong to Matt from geezgeez, it’s now run by Gavin Priestley, a good friend from Matt, he publishes Festival Trends and is up 40 points this year, this is not advertising, he also has very good reviews and enjoys his racing, its important
to have a laugh whether you win or lose.
His brother Gary also has a tipster side and only looks for outsiders, the irish nat winner, the scottish nat
winner and so on, for small stakes it brings the fun back into betting.
